An audio-video artwork expressing the philosophical aspect of constant change, reflecting the uncertainty of the times we live upon. With its Greek prefix en-, meaning “within”, and the trop- root here meaning “change”, entropy signifies “change within”. This meaning is transmuted into the artist’s imaginary scenery, collating the work into optical & auditory form.
Color, composition, and motion have been embedded thoroughly throughout the piece, capturing a flow of balance within the ephemeral. Sound and rhythm have been synced with the visual elements to enhance the pulse, scale adjusted to tone of A(432 – 444 Hz) , widely heard frequency in our daily surroundings to our planetary resonance.
Entropy is a measure of disorder and affects all aspects of our daily lives, in eastern philosophy it is explained as ‘impermanence’. The work exposes the inevitable fate among micro-macro phenomena, resulting in a self image of transient fireworks.
—Public Quotes—
“The oblivious may be hindered but is rigorously in motion juxtaposed beneath the inertial need of uniformity. But it is only in the phenomenal jerk of events when the unearthed spills and the humanity is caught unequipped. What looks like the force of nature, unhinges the flimsy, we believed to sustain. The prevalent forces are mistakenly thought to be missing until they present themselves once in a long time, in a life time. The artwork is a projection of entropy, the ultimate truth that calls for the very nature of flow, the only way to not break under its force. Much like the present pandemic that it is believed came in to set the incorrect handling of nature. The buzzing work is engrossing, unwavering and reminds the enormous.”
