Curatorial Concept: “SHIFT+ MEDIUM”

When the traditional visual design form encounters digital media and technology, the original fully grasped design language once again expresses endless imagination. Nowadays, the new boundary of visual language is no longer visible. Under the impetus of big data, the geometric change makes Digital visual art has become an important label for the culture of the times and human activities.”行走” can be interpreted as walking, moving, shifting, embody, progressing. When walking, because you can’t see the boundary, the point of stopping to watch is not the starting point or the end point. As a creator and observer, the “walking” process of designing the diversified evolution of visual language is an attitude that is actively integrated into it, and a focus on the possibilities of the future.

“SHIFT+ MEDIUM”, brings together a large number of experimental digital media visual works from China, Germany, Spain, Japan, Canada, etc., and presents the visual language between tradition and technology in a “shifting” perspective. Collision, the similarities and differences between culture and cognition, the superposition of digital media content and media. In the space where human beings exist, motion and stillness are relative concepts, and the constant changes of digital media and media are also relative to different subjects.This exhibition is the reaction of the artist as the subject of this digital world and the relative changes in the exchange of subject and object, movement and rest between the changing media.The participating artists presented a new question to the thinking practice of this change from the perspective of a global visual creator.
