Curatorial Statement:
Reclaiming the past is a sepia lane of forever known reality until shaken hard. Sapiens have never been this doubtful of their existence in the presence of other fellow beings. The essence of a society to socialize now meets with inhibited minds. It now seems like a distant land where people could come together to witness the world set to stage. Excruciating scenarios such as now have forced or at its best inspired artists to find alternate space for their artistic expression. Versions may have been revised, forms experimented with, new avenues of dissemination explored along or the only stage that looked feasible is set in a virtual world. The alternate space could have been any form developed through this lockdown phenomenon but has presented an uncharted journey to tread. We have been wondering how art helped heal generations of artists to keep their heads up. When resources were a constraint did fluidity of their art scale hard and was rigid or they found their way to flow? We let memories behold us but anticipatorily inspire a cry for hope that is circumstantially demanded.
